Downloads are automatically licensed for commercial use at the point of download. No additional steps are required to activate your license.
Project-based licensing
Each license covers one complete project, regardless of where or how that project is shared or distributed. Unlike licensing models that restrict usage by location or platform, the Envato Elements License is based entirely on project scope.
For example: you can use the same WordPress theme across multiple websites — each website as a whole requires its own licence, regardless of how many individual web pages that website contains. Similarly, you can use the same image in multiple marketing campaigns, but each campaign requires its own licence.

Lifetime commercial license for completed projects
If you unsubscribe and you haven't completed your project or end product, you can't use items from Envato any more. But any existing uses for items that are used in completed projects or end products during your subscription are still covered. Now that's peace of mind!
Font and add-on licensing: how it differs
Fonts and add-ons are licensed differently from other item types:
- Per-device, not per-project: Each font or add-on license covers one installation on one device. You need a new license to install the same font or add-on on a different device.
- Unlimited projects per installation: Once a font or add-on is installed on a licensed device, you can use it to create as many projects as you like while your subscription is active.
- Permanent commercial rights for completed work: Your commercial rights to completed work created using a font or add-on remain permanent, even after your subscription ends.
- Active subscription required for new installations: You need an active subscription to install fonts or add-ons and to create new projects using them.
What is and is not permitted under the license
