Most items downloaded from Envato Elements are compressed into .zip archives, which need to be extracted using the appropriate software before use. Contained within the archive will be the files which form the item, and sometimes additional supporting content (such as help documentation).

What if a downloaded item doesn't extract correctly or is missing content?
If an item you've downloaded from Envato Elements doesn't contain the content you expected or does not extract correctly, please try downloading the item again or using a different unzipping tool, as archives can become corrupt if connectivity issues occur during download. Do I need technical knowledge or specific software to use items?
Most items available on Envato Elements require some technical knowledge and particular software (such as Adobe Photoshop etc.) in order to use effectively. To help you download the right items, we provide information such as the software required to use it on each item's description page. Here is an example of information we provide for a WordPress item (Attributes):

My downloaded file is still watermarked. What should I do?
Items on Envato Elements have a watermark on the preview to help prevent copyright breaches and unauthorized use. The files you download with your active subscription are not watermarked. If the file you have downloaded is still watermarked, please contact our Team.
