The Envato Preferences page is where you can control your account and device settings in one place. From here you can manage your licensing behaviour, display language, interface theme, cookie settings, and Workspace defaults.
To access your Preferences page: click your name in the bottom-left corner of the Envato app and select Preferences from the menu, or go directly to app.envato.com/user-preferences.
What settings can I manage in Envato Preferences?
Envato Preferences is divided into two sections: Account settings (which apply to your subscription and downloads) and Device settings (which apply to the browser or device you are using).
Account settings
How do I control how my downloads are licensed?
The Licensing setting lets you choose how a license name is assigned each time you download an asset. This is useful for keeping your downloads organised by client or project.
To change your licensing setting, open Preferences and use the drop-down menu under Licensing in the Account section. There are three licensing options available:
- Never ask — Assets are licensed automatically on every download, with no additional steps. Best for high-volume projects where speed is a priority.
- Always ask — You are prompted to choose a license name on every download, so you can assign each asset to a specific client or project at the time of download.
- Remember last choice — The license name from your previous download is automatically applied to your next download, keeping you in the same project flow without repeated prompts.
How does "Remember last choice" affect my Workspace?
When Remember last choice is selected, downloaded stock assets and AI generations are automatically saved to your most recently used Workspace. This means assets go straight to your active project without any additional steps. You can change your Workspace selection at any time by updating your Preferences.

How do I change the display language on Envato?
To change the display language, open Preferences and select your preferred language from the drop-down menu in the Device section.

Hint: If your browser's language setting differs from your preferred Envato language, you may need to re-select your language preference on the site each time you visit.

How do I switch between light and dark mode on Envato?
Envato supports both a light theme and a dark theme. To switch, open Preferences and select your preferred option from the Theme drop-down in the Device section. You can change this setting at any time.

How do I manage my cookie preferences on Envato?
Cookie preferences can be managed per device from the Cookie Settings option in the Device section of Preferences. Changes made here apply to the browser or device you are currently using.

Can I choose how search results load on my device?
Yes. Search results use infinite scroll by default, but you can switch to numbered pages from your User Preferences page under Search results display. Numbered pages let you jump to a later page, share a link to a specific page of results, and land back in the same place when you return.
