From April 2021, Envato Elements will begin to charge Value Added Tax (VAT) on subscriptions for customers based in the Republic of Korea.
Korean VAT applies to electronic services supplied by non-residents to Korean residents. Accordingly, Envato Elements has an obligation to charge and remit VAT on subscriptions and will begin doing so from 8th April 2021.

What rate of tax is applied?
The rate of tax applied to your purchase will be a flat rate of 10%.
What if I am registered for VAT in the Republic of Korea?
Electronic services supplied to registered business operators are not taxable. If you are a registered business in the Republic of Korea, please update your billing details to include your VAT registration number.
Envato will be collecting VAT on sales completed by customers with a Korean billing or payment address unless and until this information is received.
Where to find invoices?
A record of the GST that has been collected can be found on your monthly or annual invoices or can be viewed on your “My Account” page after 8th April 2021.
