Envato Elements is now registered for VAT in South Africa and will charge VAT to subscribers residing in South Africa effective 1st May 2024.
What does this mean for me?
Subscribers from South Africa will see a change in their recurring Envato Elements billing to include Value Added Tax (VAT) of 15%.
For example, if you currently pay $33 per month for your subscription, the total invoiced amount will increase to $37.95, representing $4.95 of VAT that Envato Elements will pay to the South African Government.
This price adjustment to include VAT will happen automatically based on the billing details you provided when you completed or updated your subscription details.
What do I need to do?
To comply with VAT rules and regulations, please make sure that your billing information is correct (find instructions on how to do this here).
If you have a South African Tax ID used for business purposes, please update your billing information to include it. Please include your correct VAT ID in the billing details so it can be reflected on your invoice for VAT purposes. Changes made to the billing details will only apply from your next invoice onwards.
